Casey was in a large public school and had undetected learning disabilities. He was taken into foster care when his mother “bottomed out” after a long history of substance abuse. Casey had severe behavioral problems at school and he wasn’t able to do the work expected of him.

A logo is one of the tools of branding, which is a form of relationship building. Three years ago, the Gillis communications committee began to analyze the organization’s logo with the intent of providing a “refresh” that would support Gillis’ efforts to build a stronger relationship with the Kansas City community.
